Share
Made for entertaining, or a quick and impressive-looking snack for ya guests!
Using our slightly sweet Drunken Sailor Beetroot & Gin relish - whether you're a smoked salmon fan, or love more of a creamy goats cheese, we have two easy options for you.
These can be made using pre-bought mini tart shells, blinis, or even delicious on a Jatz cracker.
Best served with a dry gin Martini - we like to use local Australian Unexpected Guest gin, as thats what we pour into our Beetroot & Gin relish in the cooking process.
INGREDIENTS:
- Drunken Sailor Beetroot & Gin relish
- Mini savoury pastry tart cases, blini's or a thick crisp cracker
- Creamy marinated goats cheese (we love to use Meredith marinated Goats Cheese)
- Wild-caught Smoked Salmon
- Sprig of fresh dill & thyme
- Crème fraîche
METHOD:
Smoked Salmon, Crème Fraîche & Dill:
- Grab your mini pastry tart cases
- Fill them about 1/2 of the way full with Drunken Sailors Beetroot & Gin relish
- Dollop onto that a small amount of the creme fraîche
- Place a small roll of smoked salmon onto it
- Top with a small sprig of fresh dill
Marinated Goats Cheese & Thyme:
- Grab your mini pastry tart cases again
- Fill them about 2/3 of the way full with Drunken Sailors Beetroot & Gin relish
- Place a good chunk of the marinated goats cheese
- Pull some of the thyme leaves off of the stalk and top onto the goats cheese
Grab your dry Martini with a few whole Sicilian olives, a twist of orange peel, and serve!
