INGREDIENTS:

METHOD:

  • Set the over to 180 degrees C
  • Chuck your 225g softened butter and 150g caster sugar into a mixing bowl, and beat together with a hand whisk until smooth
  • Using a baking spatula bring the whisked butter and sugar into the centre of the bowl together
  • Add in 2 Tsp of vanilla extract
  • Crack 1 egg into the mixture and a pinch of salt, then whisk altogether again
  • Once combined, add in the plain flour and whisk until you get a crumbly mixture
  • Grab your lined baking tray
  • Roll mixture into individual little balls (about golf ball size), flatten them, and then make a finger indent in the centre, which we will fill with jam.
  • Once you have rolled and flattened all the dough onto your baking tray, time to fill each indent with jam - a small dollop of any Drunken Sailor flavour you like!
  • Ready to go into the oven - 180 degree C for 15 minutes.
  • Once the jam drops are cooked and lightly golden, remove from the oven, allow to cool and the jam to set - then ready for your cuppa tea and time to eat!

These are too good not to share around!
