
Fried Halloumi with Smokey Chipotle Honey

Crispy, golden halloumi drizzled with our Drunken Sailor Smokey Chipotle Honey - it’s the kinda side dish that steals the whole show.
Perfect as a fancy little entrée for dinner - or throw it next to a salad and call it a next-level lunch!
Let’s make this magic happen in 10 minutes flat.
INGREDIENTS:
- Drunken Sailor Smokey Chipotle Honey
- Thick block of Halloumi - we are going to serve this for 2 people, if you are serving more grab more blocks of halloumi
- Quality Olive Oil
- x1 fresh lemon
- Few sprigs of Thyme
METHOD:
- Get your fry pan nice and hot, with a glug of olive oil
- TIP: you want the halloumi nice and dry here, so drain out the liquid from your halloumi packet, pat the halloumi dry, and allow to sit in the fridge for an hour or so before you cook
- Cut the halloumi block lengthways (through the long side) to make two wide, flat pieces
- Once pan is nice and hot, chuck your halloumi (carefully) into the hot pan
- Allow this to sizzle on one side until nice and crispy and golden, then flip and allow to crisp off on the other side
- Once the halloumi is ready, chuck it into your serving bowl and drizzle with our Smokey Chipotle Honey, a good squeeze of fresh lemon, good quality olive oil and a few sprigs of fresh Thyme
