Figs are absolutely BANGIN' at the moment! So let's make a fig, blue cheese & Drunken Sailor Smokey Chipotle Honey vol-au-vent.
Taking a time-warp back to the 60's and 70's with these!
SERIOUSLY only a few steps - easy to whip up as a dish to take to a party - or for your last minute guests.
INGREDIENTS:
- Drunken Sailor Smokey Chipotle Honey
- 175g Danish blue cheese - we used the Castello Danish Blue Extra Creamy
- 6 Fresh figs
- 6 Vol-au-vent cases - you can also use mini tart cases or Jatz crackers!
METHOD:
- Set the over to 180 degrees C
- Place your vol-au-vent shells onto a lined baking tray
- Start by crumbling chunks of blue cheese into the bottom of vol-au-vent shells
- Drizzle over the cheese in a good squeeze of Drunken Sailor Smokey Chipotle Honey
- Tear chunks of the fresh figs onto the top of each filled vol-au-vent
- Pop the tray of vol-au-vents into the oven for 5 minutes to let the fillings go soft and melt together
- Once out of the oven give them one last drizzle of Drunken Sailor Smokey Chipotle Honey
- C'est fini! Ready to serve legends.
